Training Schedule 2009
Welcome to another year of training opportunities. The following is a schedule of the department's fire training for calendar year 2009. As always, the classroom portions and the associated hands-on practical skills are designed to provide a solid, functional foundation and/or review for fire suppression and rescue operations. Each training event contains practical information for the safety of our personnel and for the efficient execution of emergency operations activities. You are encouraged to attend as many sessions as possible. All training will take place at the main station until noted otherwise.
In addition to the James Canyon Fire Deprtment schedule, organizations throughout the local area, including the New Mexico Firefighters Training Academy, provide extensive opportunities to broaden and hone skills. Certified by the New Mexico State Firefighters Training Academy
Prerequisites:
Hazmat Awareness and Operations, Basic Firefighter Emergency Medical Care, and Basic Incident Command IS-100.200.
Certificates of completion for prerequisites will be reviewed prior to participation in the course
